Meet the Doctor and Staff
Dr. Jahanmir (Dr. J) was born in New York and grew up in Maryland. She
attended the Pennsylvania State University in State College,
Pennsylvania, graduating with honors, with a Bachelor of Science. In
2001, she graduated from the University of North Carolina School of
Dentistry and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society. After dental
school, Dr. Jahanmir completed two additional years of specialty
training, in Pediatric Dentistry, at the Children's Hospital
Boston/Harvard School of Dental Medicine. In 2003, Dr. Jahanmir
returned to Maryland to practice Pediatric Dentistry. In addition to
working in private practice, Dr. Jahanmir also serves as a part time
clinical instructor at the Children's National Medical Center Pediatric
Dental Residency Program.
In
September 2006, Dr. Jahanmir completed her board certification in
Pediatric Dentistry and is now a Diplomate of the American Board of
Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Jahanmir is also a member
of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Maryland Academy of
Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Maryland
State Dental Association, and is a Board Member for Friends of the
Orphans, a nonprofit organization which supports a group of nine
orphanages in Central and South America and the Caribbean.
In addition to English, Dr. Jahanmir also speaks Spanish and Farsi.

Akua Larbi, our administrative assistant, was born in Ghana. Akua attended the Presbyterian Women’s Training College where she obtained her diploma in teaching. After spending six years teaching in a Junior High School, Akua went on to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy at the University of Cape Coast in Ghana. Akua has worked as a Special Programs and Projects Officer with the Ghana National Commission on Children and as an Administrative Assistant to the President of a Private University in Ghana. Akua moved to the United States in 2005 and joined our practice in February 2008. She currently resides in Gaithersburg with her husband and son.

Arezoo Niliaram, our dental hygienist, was born in Iran. She attended the University of Maryland and has a background in microbiology and biochemistry. In 1999, Arezoo graduated from Howard University with a degree in Dental Hygiene. Arezoo began practicing part-time in 2002 and joined our practice in July 2008. Arezoo currently resides in Virginia with her husband and three sons.

Janice Lee Finizio, our dental hygienist, was born in New Jersey and raised in Maryland. J.Lee attended Mount Saint Mary’s University where she majored in Sociology, minored in Psychology and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1985. J.Lee completed her Dental Hygiene Degree at the Northern Virginia Community College in 1987. J. Lee has been practicing in the Washington DC Metropolitan area for more than 21 years and joined our practice in the Fall of 2008. J.Lee currently resides in Rockville with her Great Dane Pepper.

Lucy Mutter, our Dental Assistant, was born in Peru. Lucy attended the Jose Faustino Sanchez Carrion University in Peru. She then moved to Italy where she worked for 6 years. Lucy moved to the United States four years ago and began taking classes at Montgomery College. Lucy is fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian. Lucy joined our practice in the Fall of 2008 and currently resides in Rockville with her husband.
